For this scene, our SPROG system was required due to its high speed and modular design. The hero actors had already been filmed and the data from the original plates was used to programme the SPROG via our “rig chase” software.

The modular design allowed the camera position to be matched to the original camera relative to the ground level and various triggers were output from the motion control software so that the explosions would happen at the correct time during the shot.

Various passes were shot including the clever use of extra sledges and barrels attached to the SPROG dolly whilst filming. This gave the impression that the flames and debris were being deflected by the actors as they ran by.
